Stitches

Your files stay yours

Stitches does not have its own cloud server that tracks your usage or saves your patterns. It runs on your device and if you prefer, can work completely from your local drive. It does have some options for saving your data on cloud platforms (Google Drive, iCloud, S3 storage) but these are entirely optional. In any case, I have no way of getting your patterns or other data. I have added no telemetry to the app so nothing you do is reported to me and permissions for cloud drives are minimal. For instance, the permissions used for Google Drive are only to allow the app to create a folder and save files into that folder. The app can't see any existing files or folders on the drive unless they are specifically selected by the user in the Google Picker.

No AI in the app

AI is not used at all in the app, including photo and PDF import. My personal stance is strongly against using AI to generate any kind of art.

The app is built with the aid of AI coding tools. I know some people won't like that, which is why I'm stating it clearly, so you can make an informed choice. I decide every feature and design choice and I review all code changes made by AI. I'm an avid stitcher and my aim is to build an app that can help people in the hobby, not to make a quick buck. I personally use the app daily for my projects (it's the main way I test changes). I've been a software engineer since 2013 and I've been working on the app since March 2026 in my spare time.
